A critical element of the NDIS is the role that the community plays. Under the NDIS, Participants are referred and linked to mainstream and community supports where they are more suited in meeting your child and family needs than the NDIS funded supports.

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) are developing networks with a wide range of communities including Indigenous and culturally and language diverse organisations. This will help ensure that families with children with disability and/or development delay can access the best community based services or organisations.

More information about the National Disability Insurance Scheme can be found on the NDIS website.
